TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Army's naval force commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari announced that his forces will hold massive drills in Iran's waters in the Persian Gulf in November to boost their defensive preparedness.
The Iranian commander announced that the Navy's upcoming exercise will cover vast areas, including East of Straight of Hormuz, Southern Iran, Oman Sea and Northern Indian Ocean.
"The latest naval equipment will be used in the exercise. If Fateh (Conqueror) Submarine is completed before November 28, it will be used in the drill," he said.
Iranian officials and commanders have repeatedly stressed that all military exercises and trainings of the Iranian Armed Forces are merely meant to serve deterrent purposes.
