
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 67th World Health Assembly in Geneva, the two sides also exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the production of a medicine used for treating multiple sclerosis (MS).
Qazizadeh Hashemi described the meeting as �fruitful and promising� and said given the two countries� advances in pharmaceutical and scientific fields, Iran and Russia can help each other with conducting medical research.
The Sixty-seventh session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) opened in Geneva on May 19 and will be underway until May 24. The WHA is the supreme decision-making body of World Health Organization (WHO).
More than 3000 delegates attend the Sixty-seventh World Health Assembly. Over the coming days, high-level representatives from WHO�s 194 Member States will discuss and make decisions on key global health issues.
