Iran?s gas output to surge 100mcm/d
Tehran, May 14, IRNA - The managing director of the Iranian Offshore Engineering Company (IOEC) said that the country?s natural gas production will rise by some 100 mcm/d by the time a number of IOEC?s projects come on-stream by end of the current Iranian year ended March 20.

?My company will install and launch four offshore platforms in the super-giant South Pars gas field which will bring about an added 100mcm/d of natural gas output by the end of the year?, SHANA quoted Gholam-Reza Manouchehri as saying on Wednesday.

He also noted IOEC?s intent to enter regional markets, saying the company should and will have a share in the development projects in Iraqi gas fields.

IOEC is commissioned by the NIOC to manufacture, transfer and install offshore structures and pipelines in the South Pars gas field.

IOEC accounts for 70 percent of Irans offshore activities and it?s managing director recently announced that the company will be effectively presently in the development of Phase 11 if it is commissioned to domestic companies.

The NIOC officials have repeatedly said that Iranian commissioners are prioritized over foreigners.

Phase 11 development of South Pars is expected to supply sour gas to Pars LNG project and produce condensate.

This phase is expected to produce 2 bcm/d of gas and 70,000 b/d of condensate.
