TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran inaugurated the first stock broker office in London in a ceremony attended by Managing Director of Bourse Tehran Company Hassan Qalibaf and Managing Director of Farabourse Company Amir Hamouni as well as a number of Iranian monetary and financial market managers.
"After Geneva talks were halted and different economic delegations visited Iran considering potentials of the country's investment market, Iran decided to open its first stock broker office in London, as the world financial hub," said Head of Board of Directors of Mehr-Afarin stock broker Shahin Cheraqi.
He said the office was officially opened after receiving the permit for legal activities in London.
He added that the office facilitates foreign investors' access and plans to boost Iranian financial managers and experts' knowhow and expertise through planning and training workshops.
