By The Voice of Russia

Signing of the act of acceptance for Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant is rescheduled for March 2013, Valeryi Limarenko, Director General of NIAEP, which manages the construction of the plant by Atomstroyexport, the general contractor, has said today.

According to Limarenko, they have been implementing some new technical processes, and it has become clear that to perform the work well, they need some more time. Therefore signing of the acceptance act has been put off till March 2013.

Limarenko also noted that after the nuclear power plant in Bushehr†will be accepted by the Iranian side, at least 300 Russian personnel will stay in Iran to keep the plant maintenance.

Construction of the Bushehr plant began in 1975 by several German companies. Four years later the work stopped after the United States had imposed an embargo on hi-tech supplies to Iran.

In 1995 the work was resumed after Iran had signed a corresponding agreement with Russia, according to which the plant was originally scheduled for completion in 1999. In 2011 Iran started using 500MW of nuclear-generated electricity, half the nominal capacity of the Bushehr power plant.
