The Cuban envoy made the remarks in a charity market of foreign diplomats and ambassadors residing in Iran.
Describing Tehran-Havana relations as amicable, he added that Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodrguez Parrilla is also scheduled to travel to Iran in July 2014.
As to the recent visit to Cuba of the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, he said the trip proved that Iran attaches great importance to expansion of ties with Latin American countries.
Takht-e Ravanchi started his three-nation tour to Latin America on Jan 13 taking him, respectively, to Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia. His tour will last for 10 days.
