TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Gilan University have designed an optimized sensor using graphene to identify and measure Levopada used for Parkinson.
Although Levopada is vastly used as a dopamine source for treatment of the disease, the long term employment of the drug poses serious threat on human health, including Paranoia.
The newly-developed sensor can measure Levopada in small scale without need to pre-conditioning phases and can be applied in medical and pathological tests.
The method is economical and has high speed.
The results of the research can remove need to costly methods and analysis devices and facilitates the phases of measuring this drug in patients suffering Parkinson.
The Iranian researchers also plan to increase the capability of the sensor with more advanced ways.
The results of the study have been published in Solid State Electrochemistry Journal.
