President's Advisor: Iran set to make strong return to oil markets

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Presidential Advisor Akbar Torkansaid Tehran will do its best to have a strong return to the oil markets.

Iran will quickly regain its real position in the oil markets, Torkan said on Sunday, adding that the old buyers of Iran oil will return once sanctions are lifted.

He added that Iran has an undeniably influential position in world politics and economy, specifically in the oil and gas sectors.

Iran can rapidly take back its share of international oil markets as political and international conditions improve, Torkan pointed out.

Despite challenges we are facing ahead, Irans oil exports will increase in the near future, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said late in August.

Production capacity and output are the primary factors boosting the power of countries in the world markets. Irans oil production capacity must return to the 2005 level in six to seven months, he added.

Given the present circumstances, we are facing myriads challenges to exports, but we have to try our best to increase oil exports, said Zanganeh.

The minister said Irans energy sector is open to oil producers and consumers as well as any firm willing to invest in Irans development projects.

There is no limitation to that effect and we will open once more the countrys market and potentials to win their cooperation in the new phase of the petroleum industry development, Zanganeh stated.
