TEHRAN (FNA)-Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebarirenewed his country's support for efforts to hold the international conference on Syria, known as Geneva 2.A statement issued by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said "Zebari stressed during his meeting with Executive Director for the Middle East in the European External Relations Department, Hughes Mincarrila, and head of the EU Delegation to Iraq, Jana Hybaskova, on Monday that Geneva 2 is considered an important chance for reaching an agreement."
"All sides, on top of them 'the Syrian opposition' should participate without preconditions for negotiating the future of the country," he added.
Earlier, Iraq expressed support for holding the international conference on Syria in Geneva for reaching a peaceful solution to the crisis.
