TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran's iron ore exports totaled 11.2 million tons in the first 6 months of the Iranian calendar year (started on March 21), rising by 35.8 percent comparing to the similar period last year.
The amount increased by 88.7 percent in terms of value, reaching 667.3 million dollars in the same period.
Most of Iranian iron ore exports were non-concentrated iron ore and its concentrates.
China was the largest market for Iranian iron ore exports, receiving 97 percent of Iranian output.
Iran sends iron ore to the UAE, Pakistan, Iraq, Qatar, Turkmenistan, Germany and Hong Kong.
Iran holds over 1.2 percent of world iron ore reservoirs.
