According to The Iran Project, in a phone conversation with Jamal Ahmed Ali Amer, the foreign minister of Yemen’s National Salvation Government, on Saturday, Araqchi stressed the need to further develop mutual relations.

He commended Yemen’s stance in support of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the ongoing Israeli regime’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.

At a time when many countries are merely expressing their stance against the Israeli regime, the Yemeni government and people supported the oppressed Palestinians in practice, the top Iranian diplomat emphasized.

Araqchi invited his Yemeni counterpart to travel to Tehran to proceed with the talks on issues of common interests in various mutual and regional areas.

Amer, for his part, pointed to heightened tensions in the region and joint US-Britain military attacks on Yemen and emphasized that Sana’a will not change its stance on support for the oppressed people of Palestine.

The Yemeni foreign minister called for the development of mutual relations and regional cooperation.
