According to The Iran Project, In a statement on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday, Nasser Kanaani expressed outrage over the degree of devastation in Gaza, stating, "In the shadow of the inaction of countries and international organizations, the destruction and mass killing in the Gaza Strip continues insanely and non-stop by the Israeli regime! The United Nations Satellite Center announced that around 55% of buildings in the Gaza Strip had been destroyed or damaged since October 7."

The Palestinian Ministry of Education reported that over 15,000 Palestinian children have been killed since October, when Israel began its offensive against the Gaza Strip. The majority of these children were school students and kindergarten kids. Additionally, 64 students from schools in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have also lost their lives during this period.

The ministry announced these fatalities on the International Day of Innocent Child Victims of Aggression, highlighting "The Children of Gaza" as the primary focus. The statement emphasized that the children of Gaza are among the most affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression, which began on October 7 of the previous year.

Since the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, it has been reported that 620,000 students have been unable to attend school, with an additional 88,000 students deprived of higher education opportunities at the university level.

"Israel has destroyed schools and nurseries and targeted civilians, especially children, who have been forcibly displaced, detained, or deprived of food and medical access," the ministry stated.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, an independent organization dedicated to protecting human rights, reported on Monday that thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza have tragically lost their lives in Israel's ongoing military assault. Many of these children were killed while they were asleep.

"In Gaza, thousands of Palestinian children have been killed, many while they slept, as part of Israel's ongoing military attack," the organization posted on X.
