TEHRAN Irans Expediency Council Chairman, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, has said that there should be no concern about Irans nuclear program given the fatwa (religious edict) that the Supreme Leader issued in 2005 declaring that the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear weapons are all haram (prohibited in Islam).
There is no cause for concern since we have both nuclear know-how in the minds of our young people and the Leaders fatwa that the use of nuclear weapons is haram.
The important point is to make the world understand this through the language of diplomacy, the former president said in a meeting with a number of MPs in Tehran on Monday.
