The Iran Project : The Deputy Minister of Transport Industries of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade says six car manufacturers in the country, including two large automakers as well as manufacturers in the private sector, are producing electric cars in cooperation with Chinese companies within the 25-year strategic plan inked between Iran and China.

According to The Iran Project,  talking to reporters, Manouchehr Manteghi stated that China is currently the leading country in the field of electric vehicles.
 
Referring to the ministry plans regarding electric cars, he said, “Not only our country, but different countries turn to China for the electrification of cars and sign technological contracts with Chinese automobile companies.”
 
He went on to note that and this is because of China's distinguished position in this arena.
 
In the industry ministry, to make the electric vehicle industry more competitive, a strategy has been formulated in two stages, he underlined.
 
The first step is to design programs for the correct use of electric vehicles and apply their advantages in reducing fuel and improving air pollution, the deputy minister added.
 
The next step is establishing the networks of smart dealerships, to introduce the best representatives to create a new after-sales service unit.
 
Iran and China have finalized 16 understandings between the two countries to implement their 25-year roadmap for strategic partnership
 
The 25-year agreement, signed in March 2022, solidifies the Sino-Iranian Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and outlines their collaboration in various areas for the next quarter-century, despite unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States.
