Iran exports $ 3.6 bln. agricultural products
In this regard, the Director General of the Market Monitoring and Development Office of the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives of Iran said, “Due to the export of 94% of livestock, fishery, agricultural and food products to neighboring countries, rural cooperatives can play a constructive role in the development of the province and wealth generation for the villagers by entering the field of export in the outgoing borders by eliminating intermediaries.”
Sympathy and cooperation of different departments in the management of provinces, especially border provinces, chambers of commerce and organizations can bring special attention to export in rural and agricultural organizations, Seyyed Ruhollah Latifi stated.
Despite the high share in the production of these products, the export of the network of rural cooperatives is insignificant, he added.
In this field, we seek to eliminate intermediaries in exports and connect production to export target markets through rural cooperatives, he concluded.
