The toy industry is a means of identity for children, which should be given special attention, he stated.
Actions and priorities have been considered to improve the quality and growth of the toy industry, the official added.
Saying that 24 technological needs have been identified in the toy industry, he said, “These needs are in five different areas.”
He expressed hope that with these measures, the country will witness the growth in the toy industry by the end of the year.
A total of $20 million worth of toys were exported from Iran in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2023), according to the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Toy Association.
“Currently, Iran has 250 active toy producers with an official brand and if the commercial advisers of our embassies can ease the export regulations to some countries, we can increase the volume of exports in this field,” Ehsan Monshi was also quoted as saying by IRIB News.
Iraq, Armenia, Afghanistan, Russia and Oman were the main export destinations for toys made in Iran during the period under review.
