Iranís Raisi calls for ending Ukraine war, supports peace
The Iran Project - During a meeting with media executives in New York, Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahimi Raisi expressed his concern about the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

He stressed†the urgency to end the conflict and offered Iran's readiness to mediate and facilitate peace talks between the two nations.

President Raisi also underlined the use of American taxpayer dollars to fund arms manufacturers, stating Iran's opposition to war anywhere in the world.

In addition, President Raisi raised concerns about the hijab issue being used as an excuse to target Iran, particularly by Western countries.

He then implored American prisons, especially for women and mothers, and questioned the portrayal of police violence in the media.

Furthermore, President Raisi highlighted the significant role played by martyr Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the IRGC Qods Force, in halting the spread of ISIS.

He labeled former US President Donald Trump as a criminal for his alleged involvement in forming ISIS.

President Raisi called for a fair trial against the former US President regarding the martyrdom of Commander Soleimani, emphasizing his crucial role in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.

The Iranian president has traveled to New York to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and hold key talks with senior officials attending the event.
