Veteran Iranian actress Farimah Farjami dies at 71

Iran's media news outlets announced the death of Veteran actress Farimah Farjami at 71 after a period of illness.







Iranian media reported on Friday night that the movie and stage actress suffered a stroke two months ago and was undergoing treatment at home following partial recovery.

She, however, suffered another stroke recently and fell into a coma before she passed away, the reports said.

The once-famous actress graduated in Dramatic Literature from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, at the University of Tehran in 1977, and began to work on stage in 1976.

She started her career in cinema in 1980 and had many movies on her record.

Farimah Farjami is an actress who was born in 1952 in Tehran, Iran. She started her career in cinema and starred in The Red Line directed by Masoud Kimiaei

. She has won the Crystal Simogh of Best First Role Actress for The Last Act by Varuzh Karim-Masihi and an Honorary Diploma for The Lead directed by Masoud Kimiaei.

It should be highlighted that her most notable activities are The Tenants by Daruish Mehrjui, Water and Fire by Fereydoun Jeirani, and The Blade and the Silk directed by Masoud Kimiaei.
