Foreign ministers of Iran, UAE talk regional issues in Abu Dhabi
While in Abu Dhabi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian of Iran and his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) placed a premium on the need for the promotion of cooperation between the two neighbors.

The senior Iranian diplomat met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The duo held talks on issues of mutual interest, regional developments, and expansion of bilateral relations.

The areas of cooperation between Iran and the UAE in various political, economic, commercial, consular, cultural, and scientific fields were among the matters of discussion.

Earlier in the day, Amir-Abdollahian held a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Iranian foreign minister and the President of the United Arab Emirates shared views on enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in the trade and economic fields

In the meeting, various issues of bilateral relations in political, economic, commercial, cultural, and consular spheres were discussed.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries.

Amir-Abdollahian extended an invitation to the UAE head of state on behalf of President Ebrahim Raisi to visit Tehran.

Prior to his travel to the UAE, Amirabdollahian visited Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait.

The Iranian foreign minister started his regional tour from Doha on June 20.
