Iran stresses shift in balance of power in favor of Palestine

Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani said the balance of power has shifted in favor of Palestine and against the interests of the "illegitimate Israeli regime" in recent years.

In a Thursday tweet, Kanaani wrote in Persian that the balance of power has now changed in favor of the Palestinian people.

Attaching a photo of a recent meeting of the secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, and senior officials of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Kannani added that the coherence in the resistance front is stronger now than at any other time.

He said this coherence is a souvenir of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force who was martyred by the US in Iraq in January 2020.

The spokesman underlined that the photo carries different messages for both the Zionist regime and the Palestinian nation.

On Sunday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallahmet in Beirut with a delegation of senior Hamas officials, including Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Gaza-based resistance group, Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas political bureau, and top officials Khalil al-Hayya and Osama Hamdan.

Reports said they discussed the readiness of the Axis of Resistance, the intensification of resistance in the West Bank and Gaza and recent events at al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of al-Quds.

General Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of Irans Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), brought together the forces in the Axis of Resistance against Israel.

He also played akey role in eliminating the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region.

However, angered by the senior generals gains in thebattle against terrorism, the US assassinated him upon his arrival atBaghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020. The attack also killed the commanders companions, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraqs Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
