Iranian FM, Parliament Speaker felicitate Muslims on Ramadan

FNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in separate messages congratulated world Muslims on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

"I congratulate all Muslims around the world on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan," Iran's foreign minister wrote on his Twitter in the Arabic language on Saturday.

"I hope that every year the Muslim nation and the nations of the world will live in goodness and happiness," Zarif added.

The Iranian foreign minister wished the Muslim Ummah well-being, prosperity, success, and overcoming the crises from the Almighty God, and expressed the hope that Muslims would become more united.

"I hope that security, peace, justice, and equality will prevail throughout the world," he further added.

Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani also expressed his warmest congratulations to his counterparts in the Muslim states on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, describing it as an opportunity for strengthening solidarity and for resolving humanitarian crises.

"Solidarity and coherence among Muslim countries can bring about stability, security, peace, and safety for the Muslim countries especially in the pandemic era," Larijani wrote in his message.

The Iranian parliament speaker stressed that Iran's parliament "welcomes the expansion of cooperation and constructive interaction with Muslim countries' parliaments for convergence and solidarity to resolve the humanitarian crises.

The holy fasting month of Ramadan started on Saturday, April 25 in Iran.
