Iraq to expand technical, engineering cooperation with Iran
IRNA Iraqi Electricity Minister Luay Al Khateeb on Thursday hoped for effective cooperation with Iran in technical and engineering field.

Al Khateeb made the remarks on the sidelines of the tour of MAPNA industrial group technical and engineering companies.

He lauded Iran's drastic achievements in the technical and engineering fields.

MAPNA Group is a conglomerate of 41 Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power, oil & gas, and railway transportation projects, as well as manufacturing of main equipment.

Since its establishment in 1993, MAPNA Group has been involved in over 100 projects valuing more than 30 billion euros.

Commissioned power plants by the group hold a total capacity of more than 35,000 MW, while the total capacity of commissioned and awarded power plants exceeds 60,000 MW. Synchronized capacity of power plants constructed by MAPNA constitutes nearly half of Irans general power capacity.
