Russia, France to discuss JCPOA

IRNA Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will discuss Syrian and Ukrainian conflicts, as well as the situation around the Iran nuclear deal at a meeting in Versailles in late November, Russian Ambassador to France Alexey Meshkov said in an exclusive interview with Sputnik.

'As for the agenda of the meeting of foreign ministers in Versailles, it is being coordinated. I think I will not give out any secrets if I say that Sergey Lavrov and Jean-Yves Le Drian will first of all address the most topical international issues. This includes the peace process in Syria, the Ukrainian crisis, and the situation around the Iranian nuclear program,' Meshkov said.

'We hope that the ministers will also be able to thoroughly discuss bilateral issues,' the ambassador added.

Despite US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May, Russia and France stayed in the deal and are out to solve problems surrounding the deal.
