IRNA The largest spherical storage tanks ever built in the Middle East have been made by the machinery, engineering and construction company of Machine Sazi Arak (MSA), in Iran's Markazi Province.

'Valued at more than four million euros, the construction project of the large spherical storage tanks has been carried out by Machine Sazi Arak Company as an evidence to the capabilities possessed by the Iranian company,' Jafar Safari, MSA Managing Director told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Wednesday during an exclusive interview.

'There is no longer any need for such storage tanks to be imported from other countries,' Safari said.

With a diameter of about 29 meters the tanks can store 11,200 cubic meters of hydrocarbons, he added.

Construction of the spherical storage tanks done for the first time in the Middle East is according to international standards and all the safety requirements, the MSA managing director said.
