MNA- Secretary of Iran�s Expediency Discernment Council says that there is a special intelligence unit in the US Department of Treasury tasked with targeting Iran�s economy.

Secretary of Iran�s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei said that the �Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act� (CATSA), which is targeted at Iran, Russia, and North Korea was compiled and written by this special organization in US Treasury. This special unit which is called �TFI� has established several offices in US embassies in Iran�s neighboring countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE tasked with monitoring Iran�s financial and economic activities, according to Rezaei, who was speaking in a seminar on the �Dimensions of the Economic War against Iran� at Imam Hossein comprehensive University in Tehran.'

According to Rezaei, �this special organization is chaired by the US Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart A. Levey, who is a Zionist.�

�Levey traveled between different capitals and met more than 100 CEOs and warned them not to do any business with Iran. That�s why no major bank has resumed financial trade with Iran after the implementation of the JCOPA and only some small banks resumed financial transactions with Iranian banks,� assserted the secretary of Iran�s Expediency Council.

Later in his speech, he pointed out the importance of revealing these threats and the dimensions of this secret and open economic war to the Iranian diplomats saying �the so-called Resistance Economy has provided ways to protect us against these threats and there are ways predicted in it to counter these all-out economic war.�
