Shana-- First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri says what was carried out in Iran's oil industry in the aftermath of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was "something great".

"Oil industrialists did something great after the JCPOA implementation and could more than double the country's crude oil output," the official said lauding the industry's outcome in the post-JCPOA setting.

He further said that Iran has registered a positive economic growth in the first 6 month of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

"Those who stalled Iran's oil exports by their performance never thought the country would recover oil production immediately after the sanctions' removal," Jahangiri added.

He said Iran's economic growth has been 4.3% in the H1 without considering oil sales.
