Iran's National Police Week commemorated in Moscow

Moscow, Oct 5, IRNA The commemoration ceremony of Iran's National Police Week was held in the presence of the representatives of police in Moscow, Iranian and Russian officials.

Over 50 police representatives from different countries namely France, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Ukraine, Japan, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Russia together with the representative of Russia foreign ministry participated in the event which was held on Tuesday night.

Iranian ambassador to Russia Mahdi Sanaie said that Iran's police plays major role in fighting insurgency both in the country and in the region.

He added that Iran's police is one of the strongest and the most effective ones in the region to prevent transferring narcotic drugs to Europe.

He reiterated that terrorism and extremism are two factors to remove stability and security and it is regarded as a major threat on the way of Iran, Russia and other countries of the region.

Sanaie said that we should help countries like Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan which are being attacked by terrorist groups.

He reiterated the fact Iranian and Russian officials consult on security, defensive and military affairs, saying that the secretary of security councils of Iran and Russia had fruitful and extended negotiations on the regional security.
