TEHRAN, Sep 03 (Shana) -- The managing director of Pars oil and Gas Company said platforms 19A, 21 and 18B of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field will become operational before winter.

Ali Akbar Shabanpour said hookup operations for the platforms have so far made 90%, 70% and 90% progress respectively.

He said platforms 19A and 18B are being constructed for production of 500 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and platform 21 for recovery of 1 bcf/d of gas.

"By winter, all the structures will become operational," he said.

A majority of the items and equipment needed for startup of the structures have been procured so far, he said.
