Iranian female sports shooter Najmeh Khedmati has put on an awe-inspiring display of skills at�the Olympic Games Training Camp in France, and managed to snatch a gold medal.
On Sunday, the 20-year-old 2014 Asian Games gold medalist vied for the top honor�in women�s 50-meter rifle�3 positions individual contests in the northeastern French commune of Volmerange-les-Mines, and recorded an impressive score of 459.1 points to claim the gold medal.
Italian shooter Petra Zublasing scored 458.9 points to receive the silver.
Laurence Brize, a female sports shooter from the host nation, won the bronze medal with a final score of 445.4.
Separately, Mahlagha Jambozorg, another Iranian sports shooter, managed to improve�her own national record�of 586 points to 587 in her march to the final round.
She, however, delivered a lackluster performance in the last round of the competitions, and finished in the seventh place with 401.5 points.
The Olympic Games Training Camp started in Volmerange-les-Mines, France, on June 9 and will run through June 14.
Dozens of male and female sports shooters from�20 countries, namely the Czech Republic, France, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Poland and the United States, are taking part in the tournament.
