2 Iranians win Germanys Green Talents award
TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) awarded on Friday "Green Talents" to 27 young researchers, among whom were two Iranians.


Mohammad Moghimi Ardekani and Dr. Amirhossein Mousavi were selected by a high-ranking jury of German experts as the winners of the prestigious 'Green Talents International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development'hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Moghimi Ardekani, who began his studies in Iran, is now pursuing his PhD in South Africa.The forcus of his research is on optimizing concentrated solar power (CSP) plants for maximum optical and thermal efficiencies and minimum generated electricity cost. According to the events website, the jury praised Moghimis disciplined commitment to his field and his diligent study of the intricacies of this complex topic.

Dr. Amirhossein Mousavi who holds a PhD in Applied Informatics and Data Scienceis currently apostdoctoral researcher at the University of Graz, Austria, and the youngest assistant professor at Obuda University, Hungary. His research focus is on developing predictive decision models.

The jury praised the unique nature of Mousavis research focus and his drive to implement it under practical scenarios, offering valuable improvements for real sustainable projects.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the prestigious 'Green Talents International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development'on a yearly basisto promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas. The award honors some 25 young researchers each year. Selected by a high-ranking jury of German experts the award-winners are granted unique access to the countrys research elite.
