Israeli forces storm al-Aqsa Mosque, injure Palestinians
More than 200 Israeli soldiers have once again stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem), firing rubber bullets and tear gas at Palestinians.

The director of al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani said on Monday that at least six Palestinians, including an elderly man, were wounded during the second consecutive day of clashes at the mosque.

Dozens of Palestinians were also detained in the new attack.

The latest incident at the al-Aqsa Mosque follows violent clashes at the compound a day earlier.

On Sunday, clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces at the al-Aqsa compound after the regimes forces attempted to force Palestinian worshipers out of the mosque. The incident left three Palestinians injured and resulted in property damage.

Kiswani said Tel Aviv had taken over the holy site by power of force, adding that Israeli forces currently control people who enter and leave the place.

The Israeli move was strongly censured by Palestinian authorities, including President Mahmoud Abbas.

The recent clashes erupted after a group of 120 illegal Israeli settlers and the regimes minister of agriculture stormed the mosque, prompting Israeli forces to close off the sites entrances.

Meanwhile, Palestinians have also taken to the streets in protest against the Tel Avivs recent attacks.

Palestinians also accuse Tel Aviv of attempting to Judaize the city.

Meanwhile, Jordan has also accused the Israeli regime of planning to change the status quo of al-Quds.

Egypt also condemned the assaults as an unacceptable escalation of violence against Islamic holy places.

The al-Aqsa Mosque compound, located in the Israeli-occupied Old City of al-Quds, is a flashpoint holy Islamic site. The mosque is Islams third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
