TEHRAN August 25 (Shana)--Irans President Hassan Rouhani has warned shortage of energy resources would pose a major challenge to mankind in the future.
As the time passes, energy resources decline in the world. In the future, energy will be a major challenge humanity will be faced with, Rouhani said.

He added that the Persian Gulf region is likely to remain the only region rich in fossil energies in the future.
One day, oil exporters and even oil and gas [producers] are likely to be only in this region, he said.

Rouhani said any substance largely demanded in the world could grow into a cause of conflict.
He said nobody imagined the world would one day experience war of water which currently exists in some countries.
