Missile defense program Iran?s redline in negotiations: Najafi

Tehran, August 18, IRNA Iran?s permanent envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency Reza Najafi said Monday that missile defense program is Iran?s redline in its nuclear negotiations with the West.
Speaking during a conference held at the Foreign Ministry?s Institute for Political and International Studies to review the government of President Hassan Rouhani?s conduct of nuclear policy, Najafi said he was happy that Iran managed to convince the IAEA that safe explosive detonators are used for peaceful means in Iran.
However, Najafi made it clear that some demands made by the IAEA are unreasonable and Iran will not accept them.

Najafi underlined that Iran seeks to maintain its security and national interests simultaneous with its cooperation with the UN nuclear agency.
