The drill, dubbed Mesbaholhoda, primarily involvedthe Chabahar air defence units, said Deputy Commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard on Saturday.
This maneuver wasmanaged in an integrated manneremployingthe availablehuman resources and equipment and was carried out witha focus on countering the psychological operations of the enemy by using the tactics of power, speed and accuracy in conducting operations, Sabahifard said.
Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base holds periodic exercises in all air defense units across the countryto keep its forces ready for critical conditions, the commander added.
He also assessed as "favorable" the readiness of various components of Irans air defense force, adding that the units' preparedness is subjected to regular testing.
In recent years, the Islamic Republic has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
Earlier this week, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili announced plans to unveil the countrys latest long-range and medium-range missile systems in the coming weeks.
Tehran has repeatedly assured other countries that its military might poses no threat to other states, insisting that the countrys defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
