
Mohammad Taher Qoreishi made the comments in a meeting with Abbas Daneshi on Monday.
Qoreishi also pointed to the deeply-rooted relations between Iran and Pakistan saying Islamabad welcomes exchanging visits by cultural groups between the two neighboring countries.
Iran and Pakistan have exchanged delegations on a regular basis as part of efforts to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Back in May, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif paid a formal visit to Iran, and held meetings with senior Iranian officials.
Pakistan-Iran relations are bound by historical and religious linkages, Nawaz said, I am here to open a new page in Pakistan-Iran relationships.
