Israeli sources say Tel Aviv is shocked by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas having rockets capable of striking deeper into Israel than ever before.
Hamas and the Islamic Jihad Movement have missiles with a range of 110 kilometers, the Israeli army said.

An M-302 surface-to-surface rocket fired from the Gaza Strip had hit the Israeli coastal city of Hadera late on Tuesday, an Israeli military spokesman said.

According to the Israeli military, the rocket landed on a street near a house but caused no injuries.

"We understand that there are several other tens of these rockets within the Gaza Strip, that they can potentially reach that long distance," military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner said.

The rocket attacks came in response to the recent Israeli escalations against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Twenty eight Palestinians were killed and over 200 others were injured in Israeli attacks on Tuesday.

The deadliest strike of the day took place when a missile hit a house in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis, leaving eight people dead, emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.

Palestinian resistance movements in the besieged Gaza Strip have responded to Israels aggression by targeting towns and cities deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories. The Israeli military said on Tuesday that 130 rockets were fired from Gaza, with 70 hitting different sites.

Following Israels deadly attack on a home in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Hamas said that all Israelis are legitimate targets of its attacks.
