Forouzan output to double

Forouzan output to double
TEHRAN June 24 (Shana)--Oil production from Forouzan oil field is expected to double in two years, the official in charge of the development of the field has said.
Ebrahim Delavaran said early production from this field is to start in the coming seven months.

Given the longevity of this field, reservoir pressure fall-off and accumulation of water in the wells, the productivity has declined sharply, he said.
Delavaran said the associated gas acquired from the development of Forouzan field will be gathered to be transferred to the LNG project in Kharg Island.

He said the development of Forouzan field includes construction of LQA and FZA platforms, gas pressure booster station as well as subsea pipelines.
The two platforms are being constructed by a South Korean company.

The project is being handled by Irans Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC).
