TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian larges state-owned carmaker (IKCO) plans to export a number of its sedans to Africa, in a bid to expand and secure its presence in northern Africa, Deputy of Exports of IK Corporations Abdolazim Saadian said.
"The sedans include Samand, Ranna and Soren," Saadian said, adding the cars would be in Tunisia soon.
A Tunisian company has been established for coordination on exports and marketing of Iranian cars so that Iran could expand car exports to the North African region.
Iran plans to use Tunisia to export its cars to Libya and Algeria, Saadian said, adding Iran would send 100,000 cars to Tunisia by early 2014.
The IKCO plans to establish a mission in Sousse, Tunisia, and has taken the necessary steps.
