Iran envoy says all Netanyahus documents known to IAEA

IRNA Iran's ambassador to the UK said all documents which were recently presented by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are available and well known to the IAEA.

Hamid Baeidinejad made the remarks in reaction to Netanyahus anti-Iran allegations that Israel has obtained 'Irans secret files' which reveal it is still pursuing nuclear weapons program secretly even after the JCPOA came into effect.

All documents presented by Netanyahu were available and known to the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] which after a comprehensive ten years study found no indications of Iran having conducted activities linked to a nuclear weapons program. IAEA decided accordingly to permanently close the issue in 2015, Baeidinejad said.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif compared Netanyahu to a liar shepherd who wants to tell lies over Irans nuclear drive.

UN nuclear watchdog IAEA has on several occasions verified peaceful nature of Irans nuclear program under the JCPOA, to which Iran has remained committed since it went into force.

The JCPOA stands for Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the official name of the agreement reached between Iran and six world major powers in 2015 to give Tehran sanctions relief in return for scaling back its nuclear program.
