Iran FM: Trump's demands on nuclear deal unacceptable

IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Saturday that US President Donald Trump's exorbitant demands on nuclear deal is unacceptable to the Iranian people, other JCPOA members and the international community.

Zarif made the remarks in a joint press conference with his counterparts from Russia and Turkey on Saturday.

Regional developments and the US opposition to Iran in Syria has nothing to do with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Zarif said.

The US administration from early days after Trump took office has opposed the internationally recognized accord, a UNSC resolution to which Washington itself gave a positive vote, he said.

Trump has not only failed to implement this resolution but has also violated the US commitments under the deal and its current demand is beyond the JCPOA, Zarif said.

People in Iran, JCOPA members and the international community would never accept the US disloyalty, he said.
