TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran exported over $49bln of various kinds of non-oil commodities in the last calendar year (March 21, 2014-March 20, 2015), showing 18.87 percent of growth in compassion with the previous year.
Iran Customs Administration announced that the country's non-oil exports stood at $44bln in 2013 while commodities worth $52bln were imported to Iran during the same year.
Imports to the country last year showed an increase of 5.57 percent against an increase of 18.87 percent in non-oil exports.
On March 21, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in a message on the occasion of the Persian New Year, underscored that economic growth, including increased non-oil exports and creation of new jobs, will be high on the agenda of the government this year.
President Rouhani set sustainable prosperity, growing non-oil exports and generating new job opportunities as three goals of his administration in the new Iranian year.
