TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran is seeking more active presence in Indian markets, said Head of Joint Council of Iran-India Traders Ebrahim Jamili.Iran-India trade ties have risen comparing to the past, but we have more opportunities given large Indian potentials for imports and exports, he said.
He also stressed signing a preferential trade agreement with India, saying that the agreement can improve Irans presence in Indian markets.
Jamili referred to increased construction activities in India, saying that Iranian technical and engineering companies presence in India could be an appropriate non-oil item for Iran in Indian market.
He reiterated Indian need of cement, agricultural fertilizers and petrochemicals, saying that Iran can meet the needs.
He also said Iran is now exporting petrochemicals, agricultural fertilizers and raw material, and can sell iron ore and coal to the country.
