IRNA � Iranian Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-e Ravanchi presented his credentials to UN Secretary General Ant�nio Guterres.

Takht-e Ravanchi conveyed greetings of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Guterres and undertook his mission at the United Nations.

He served as vice-president for political affairs at presidential office.

He has previously served as an Iranian top diplomat in the country's permanent mission to the United Nations, Iran�s ambassador to Bern, and deputy Iranian foreign minister for Euro-American affairs.

Takht-e Ravanchi was also a senior member of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team which clinched a landmark deal with the six world powers � the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China in 2015.
