Zarif: World now seeking honor of cooperating with Iran

Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said world countries were presently seeking the honor of cooperating with Iran while they used to regard it as a costly decision prior to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Addressing the Majlis (Parliament) open session on Sunday, Zarif said in past days cooperation with Iran would cost foreign countries dearly, but now they are honored to do so.

Zarif is now in the Majlis to brief parliamentarians on the political and economic activities of the Iranian embassies in foreign countries.

He also outlined the achievements of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

During his remarks, he said the Iranian Foreign Ministry could help remove the legal obstacles on the way of economic development in the country.

Since the day the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution offered his guidelines on the Resistance Economy to the officials, the Foreign Ministry has set its targets in line with development of those policies, Zarif said.

Zarif noted that his ministry faciliates the process of economic development and said it helped remove the hindrances to the country's economic development in the international arenas.

He further referred to all these activities as parts of the foreign ministry achievements.
