Salehi to attend IAEA annual conference in Vienna

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization o Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi would visit Vienna next week to take part in the IAEA annual conference.

He said that the IAEA Head Ali-Akbar Salehi is visiting Brussels to continue talks with the EU energy commission and pursue nuclear cooperation in line with the JCPOA.

He is visiting his counterparts and is likely to visit another European country after his travel to Brussels, Kamalvandi said.

Elsewhere, regarding talks with Russia on building centrifuges for stable isotopes in Fordo nuclear facility, he said, We have discussed the issue in 10 sessions and everything is going well. A 40-50 page documents about the issue is being investigated. We do not insist on scarifying detail and content for time.

He said that the procedure to build two new units of Bushehr power plant would start in southern Bushehr Province on Saturday in presence of senior Iranian and Russian officials.

Sergey Kirienko, Director General of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom as well as Irans First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, Salehi and some cabinet ministers and parliament members are taking part in the event.

He said that the two new units would be built in 10 years, adding construction of the first unite starts next week and the second one starts two years after the first one. $10 billion investment has been made for the two units.
