German graphic designer Fons Matthias Hickmann has presented a workshop on the art of typography at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
Organized by the Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS), the event was held concurrent with the Tehran Graphic Design Week, celebrating World Graphic Design Day, on April 27.

A number of Iranian graphic students participated in the German artist’s workshop.

A selection of his posters was showcased at the Iranian Artists Forum during the celebrating program.

The 48-years-old artist, Hickmann is a graphic designer and professor of communication design at the Berlin University of the Arts.

He studied photography and communication design combined with philosophy in Düsseldorf, and aesthetics and media theory in Wuppertal.

Hickmann has been working in Berlin and Vienna for many years.
