Tehran, April 28, IRNA - Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that the agreements signed between Tehran-Moscow for electricity cooperation are valued between $8-10b.
Novak made the above statement in a press conference in Tehran.
Iran and Russia are determined to cooperate in power plants construction and power transmission, the Peroenergy news network SHANA reported on Monday.
Novak said that a working group will soon be established between Iran-Russia to discuss technical issues.
The issue of power transmission among Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia was also discussed in his talks with Iranian officials in Tehran.
Iran and Russia have for years envisaged electricity exchange, but since they do not share borders, a third country is needed. Azerbaijan is the best option for that purpose.
