ILNA: A group of Iranian lawmakers stressed Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology in talks with the 5+1.

In a statement isued by 200 members of the Iranian Parliament on Sunday, the lawmakers said that the Islamic Republic of Iran as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, who has always stayed faithful to its content and acted according to its commitments, is now willing to use its full and inalienable right to pursue nuclear energy for useful purposes.

It stressed that the Iranian nation is also willing to fully implement its right to carry on with the activities related to its nuclear fuel cycle especially enrichment which the NPT ensures.

The statement urged the Iranian nuclear negotiating team to move forward with the principle in mind that it could forsake not a bit of Iran’s nuclear rights guaranteed in the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

It further highlighted that the negotiations should only focus on nuclear issues and no other topics including Iran’s missile capabilities.
