Tehran, March 12, IRNA – Iranian Basketball team, Mahram, on Wednesday overpowered Iraqi Basketball team, al-Kahraba, 112-87, leading its way to the finals of the 15th West Asian Basketball Championship.
Iran’s team whipped the Iraqi rival in the basketball hall of Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

The Iranian team left a shining record for three preliminary quarters with scores 25-13, 27-21 and 36-26. It was only in the fourth quarter than it failed on 27-24 score.

In another point of the semifinals of the championship game, Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbour team will face Jordanian ASU tonight.

Seven teams have taken part in the 15th West Asian Basketball Championship.

The ranking and final rounds of the championship will be held on Thursday afternoon.
