Japan voices support for Iran-G5+1 talks

Tokyo, March 5, IRNA – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday voiced his county’s support for continuation of talks between Tehran and G5+1.


 
He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.


“Tokyo welcomes expansion of ties with Tehran in all fields including the control of drug trafficking and protection of environment.”

“Japan is ready to transfer its experience on peaceful use of nuclear energy to Iran.”

The Iranian foreign minister, for his part, noted that Tehran is committed to continue nuclear talks to reach a final agreement with G5+1.

“Tehran is prepared to enhance relations with Tokyo in the fields of oil, natural gas and environment protection.”
